There's a story behind his surname!
"When I was two my stepfather changed my surname to Denny. I never really got on with him so when I reconnected with my dad at 18 I wanted to become what I was always meant to be in the first place!"

Married with children:
42 year old Simon is married to actress Rebecca Rigg with three children. He was raised in Australia but moved to the US in his twenties when he landed a small role in the film, LA Confidential.

He listens to his kids' advice!
His eldest daughter told him to take the role in Devil Wears Prada."She read the script when she was 11 years old and said I should take it," explains Simon.

He loves TV detective Columbo!
"He just had that charming, bumbling way about him but, behind that, an enormous brain was quietly ticking away."

Famous friends:
Nicole Kidman and Naomi Watts are both godmothers to Simon's children. "It's very rare that we'll ever all in the same place at the same time though."

He surfed at national level as a teenager.

In 2010 he played in a charity Soccer Aid match for the Rest of the World against an England team of celebs and ex-footballers.
