The closing ceremony for the 2012 Olympic will reflect the influence of British fashion with a collection of supermodels ready to parade on the Olympic catwalk.
Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Lily Cole, Stella Tennant and Georgia May Jagger are among the supermodels ready to take part and more astonishingly, ready to appear for just £1 each, waiving their usual hefty fees.
The models will strut down the catwalk to David Bowie songs Fashion and Rebel Rebel according to tabloid reports. The models willl don designs by British designers such as Sarah Burton (for Alexander McQueen), Stella McCartney and Vivienne Westwood.
The show will be entitled A Symphony of British Music and will also feature performances by comedy duo Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders who are rumoured to be singing the Sex Pistols anthem, Pretty Vacant. George Michael and Take That are among the star acts rumoured to be performing. Emili Sande is due to open the show and the Kaiser Chiefs, Elbow, One Direction , Ed Sheeran, Tinie Tempah and Jessie J. will also perform.
