Programme Synopsis
This series sees new faces making an impact and more love complications in store for the staff. New Registrar Will Curtis struggles to cope under the tutelage of new Medical Director, Connie Beauchamp. Her demanding ways, both professionally and sexually, prove extremely difficult for the young registrar to deal with, and push him to the brink. Tricia Williams seems to have found love with charismatic plastic surgeon Carlos Fashola but their relationship is put to the test when she is diagnosed with breast cancer. How will Tricia cope with the rigours of her treatment and the pressure of a new relationship?

Before A Fall
Diane Lloyd returns to oversee the team undertake a terrorist drill. Joseph Byrne takes an accidental overdose and Mark persuades Diane to perform a risky operation on Tricia.
Shot In The Dark
Diane, Abra and Ric operate successfully on Tricia. Elliot and his son James speak with Dr Sang in the aftermath of Gina's death.
Fly Me To The Moon
Ric catches Abra trying to steal drugs from the hospital pharmacy. Dean and Matt play Halloween pranks on Donna. Kyla agrees to go on a breakfast date with Abra.

Donna catches Matt kissing his patient Nikki. Kidney transplant patient Pete Golding returns as his body rejects the organ. Ric is leaving to take a sabbatical in Uganda

Chrissie discovers that Tricia kept the return of her cancer secret from her. On the way to the airport for their second honeymoon, Mark and Tricia are involved in a car crash.
Unforgiven
Lola catches Matt and Nikki together and comes close to ending Matt’s career as a doctor. Tricia deteriorates rapidly after the op.
It's Been A Long Day
Dan Clifford arrives and shows an interest in the kidney patient Pete Golding. Maria is shocked to witness her first death, and Connie reveals to Sam that she is pregnant.
The Bitterest Pill
Dan discovers that kidney transplant is not the only illegal dealing Abra is involved in. The staff attend Tricia's funeral, where Connie tells Sam he’s the father of her baby.
Crossing The Line
Mark is found guilty of drink driving, and blames himself for Tricia's death. Kyla discovers HIV medication in Abra's desk draw and assumes he is HIV positive.
The Good Fight
Lola reluctantly allows her foster daughter Leanne to go home with her father. Matt attempts and fails to break up with Nikki once again.
The Very Thought Of You
Lola and Dan discover Leanne's father Steve collapsed following an overdose. Although they try to save him, he dies. Kyla learns the truth about Abra's stockpiling of HIV drugs.

The Games People Play
Jac manipulates events so that Elliot catches Joseph and Martha kissing. Abra only narrowly avoids being caught stealing drugs by Dan and Sutherland.
End Of The World As We Know It
Connie falls, raising fears for her baby’s safety. Dan catches Abra out and gives him the chance to leave the UK and continue working as a doctor.
Face Value
Diane takes over as Consultant after Abra’s departure. Sam disappoints Chrissie by revealing he sees her as just a friend.

Diane wants to impress on her first day as a Consultant. Chrissie is thrown from her pursuit of Sam when Jade arrives at the hospital wanting to stay with him.

Faye Morton arrives looking for nursing work. Dan is accused of sexual harassment by a patient. Donna wins £20,000 on a scratch card.

Sam's reputation is ruined after Chrissie accuses of him sleeping with underage prostitutes. Donna spends heavily after her lottery win, making her unpopular with friends.

Diane and Jac clash when Diane works her first night shift as a Consultant. Jac attempts to show Diane up, but her plan backfires when she is attacked by a patient.

Donna plans to fly to Australia with her winnings, but is thwarted when a patient steals her money. Kyla needs stitches after a violent row with Harvey.
The Borders Of Sleep
Jac rethinks her relationship with Joseph. Harvey attacks an elderly patient but Kyla lies and claims she saw nothing.

Ric overhears Diane badmouthing him to Dan. Faye is questioned by police investigating her husband James’ suspicious death.
What Lies Beneath
It’s revealed that Jac & Joseph performed an operation they were not qualified for. Maddy’s escaped prisoner father is secretly treated by Dan.
Bedlam
Nikki attempts suicide after Matt refuses to move in with her. Matt is suspended. Faye reveals to Joseph and Jac that her husband James is dead.

Joseph jumps to the wrong conclusion when Jac turns up at work with Sam after a night out. Faye notices bruising on Kyla’s back. Diane clashes with Thandie.
