Programme Synopsis
Three 40-something best friends, Melanie a writer played by Valerie Bertinelli, Rejoyla a beautician to the stars played by Jane Leeves and Victoria, a fading soap opera star, played by Wendie Malick, are flying to Paris when their plane makes an emergency stop in Cleveland. Soon the women realise that the city isn't as shallow and youth-obsessed as celeb hungry LA and they decide to rent a house in the city, which comes with a fast-talking landlady, Elka, played by former Golden Girls star Betty White. Can the ladies make a new start and more importantly, will they still be considered hot by the local men?!
In Season 3 there are guest appearances from Will & Grace star Sean Hayes, John Mahoney (who played Martin Crane in Frasier) and Laura San Giacomo who plays Melanie's estranged sister.

Elka teaches the ladies how to go funeral crashing to find the dress lost by Melanie's dry cleaner; Elka has a reunion with a man from her past.
Happy Fat
Victoria, Joy & Melanie treat their neighbours to makeovers. Meanwhile Elka has to adjust to dating a younger man.
One Thing Or A Mother
The girls decide to host a dinner party to try and solve their dating dilemmas.
How Did You Guys Meet Anyway?
While waiting in line for the bathroom at a Cleveland sporting event, Elka hears the story of how Melanie, Joy and Victoria met in Los Angeles in the 1980s.
Two Girls and a Rhino
Joy and Elka camp out at the zoo to help save an endangered species of rhinoceros. Meanwhile, Melanie dates a senator; and Victoria goes out with a janitor.
God and Football
Melanie lands a date with a local football star after she takes Elka to the team's locker room on her 90th birthday.
Love Is Blind
Victoria's daughter, Emmy, visits with the news that she's engaged to Melanie's son, Will. Meanwhile Joy's blind boyfriend thinks she's 26.
Life With Lucci
Victoria's enemy Susan Lucci comes looking for support after the cancellation of her TV show but Victoria warns her friends that the soap star is not to be trusted.
I'm With The Band
victoria reminices with old flame Johnny Revere when he comes to Cleveland to record a song for charity. Meanwhile Elka wants a lock of the singer's hair for a good cause & Joy wonders what life is like as a rock star & Melanie Chases a musical idol.

Valentine's Day inspires the women to look for their lost loves, including the man who jilted Joy at the altar.
Tangled Web
The ladies seek refuge at a lake house after Victoria loses a poisonous spider that belongs to her ex-husband; Melanie's potential new beau turns out to be Joy's former fiancé.

Sensing an opportunity to win a Newsie Award, Victoria dons a fat suit at Overeaters Anonymous, and Elka comes along to claim she lost 600 pounds.
Rubber Ball
Melanie, Joy and Victoria want to join a renowned country club, but Elka's history with the club president could hinder their plans.

Melanie dates a professor who makes her feel dumb; Victoria wants to get rid of the housekeeper; Elka's frustrated by her writing partner; Joy goes out with a guy she thinks is Rick Springfield.
