Programme Synopsis
This Life revolves around the lifes of a group of six very different twentysomething urban professionals sharing a house in London. Their lives, their hopes, their fears and their relationships are still relevant for young people today.
Filmed in ‘hand-held’ camera style, the approach makes the series appear even more realistic, as if the viewer is there inside the living room, office and therapy sessions.

Coming Together
Anna is interviewed for a job by her ex Miles. She doesn’t get it but gets revenge by moving into the new house Miles shares with Milly and Egg. Warren gets a job at the same firm.
Happy Families
Egg reluctantly agrees to Warren as a housemate. Warren’s cousin Kira turns up and he’s terrified she’ll find out he’s gay. Will Anna rekindle her romance with Miles?
Living Dangerously
A medical negligence case reinvigorates Egg at work but when his client commits suicide he questions his vocation. Suspicion points towards Delilah when the house is burgled.
Sex, Lies, and Muesli Yoghurt
Anna tries to get rid of Miles’ girlfriend Delilah. Egg’s work crisis deepens. Miles realizes accepting the fraud case was a mistake. Delilah is finally forced out of the house.
Fantasy Football
Terrified he may have caught AIDS from Delilah, Miles agrees to a test. Egg continues to struggle at work. Networking at a solicitors’ party brings Anna some unexpected interest.
Family Outing
Milly struggles to cope with Egg’s newfound leisure. Warren decides to ‘confess’ his sexuality but how will his soldier brother react?
Brief Encounter
Egg hasn’t applied for jobs and decides to write a novel instead. Milly decides she can’t carry Egg financially any longer. Anna gets drunk and has sex with Jo.
Cheap Thrills
Milly is attracted to her boss, O’ Donnell and a new case means late nights together in the office. Relations between Anna and Jo are terrible. Egg’s father turns up with bad news.
Just Sex
Warren is attracted to the new office courier, Ferdy. Egg is tired of his father being around. Warren decides to tell his brother Dale, that he’s gay.
Father Figure
Anna and Egg’s dad are having candle-lit dinners together. Milly is fantasizing about her boss. Egg tries to revive his love life with Milly. Warren is depressed after his bust-up with Ferdy.
Let's Get It On
Milly is hurt as her boss ends their affair. Egg suspects Milly of cheating. Jerry rediscovers his lost youth with Anna. Housemates celebrate the success of Jerry’s novel.
