Sex and the Single Mom

Jess Gradwell (Gail O’Grady) is a divorced single mother with a high-stress paralegal job and a 15-year-old daughter, Sara (Danielle Panabaker), to raise. When late-night sessions with an expert witness, handsome surgeon Alex Lofton (Grant Show), develop into romance, Jess tentatively begins a secret relationship that has her feeling alive for the first time in years. Sara is also experiencing her own sexual awakening, and has her heart set on dating the “bad boy” at school and changing her goody-two-shoes image. But Jess’s lectures to Sara about responsible sex ring hypocritical when Jess learns to her shock that she is pregnant-after Alex tells her he’s returning to his wife. Heartbroken and facing multiple parenting challenges, Jess must gather all her strength to prepare for a change that she hopes mother and daughter can face together.
